CONTEXT
Designing a digital wealth management experience that bridges traditional finance with modern portfolio strategies, DeFi exposure, and real-time analytics.
THE PROBLEM
Retail investors lacked access to institutional-grade portfolio analysis. Existing tools were either too complex for beginners or too simplistic for serious wealth builders.
CONSTRAINTS
- —Complex regulatory landscape across traditional finance and DeFi
- —Diverse user base from beginners to sophisticated investors
- —Need to integrate multiple data sources (12+) with varying reliability
- —Balancing simplicity with depth for different user personas
THE APPROACH
Built a platform concept combining portfolio tracking, regime-based asset allocation, and educational content. Focused on clear data visualization, risk scoring, and actionable insights rather than information overload.
THE OUTCOME
Created a comprehensive design and strategy blueprint that demonstrates how technology can democratize wealth advisory services. The platform concept integrates traditional and crypto assets under a single analytical framework.
MY ROLE & OWNERSHIP
I owned the full product vision and design process end-to-end. Conducted user research across 4 personas, defined the information architecture, created the risk scoring framework, and designed all key user flows. Led technical feasibility assessment for DeFi integrations and authored the product strategy document.
LEARNINGS
- →Financial UX must prioritize trust signals — users need to feel confident before taking action
- →Regime-based allocation resonates more with users than static risk profiles
- →Progressive disclosure is essential: beginners and experts need different default views
- →Integrating DeFi and TradFi data requires a normalization layer to ensure apples-to-apples comparison
